"Speed Dating" Psych Professors Edition

In college, it is very important to build a relationship with your professors. Psychology professors are very knowledgable about the field, are great resources for networking, and want to get to know their students. Believe it or not, there is a reason why psychology professors chose to become teachers of the social sciences-- they like people!
Many of our psych club members are underclassmen and have not reached out to their psychology professors. As an underclassmen not knowing any professors can be inconvenient; but, as an upperclassmen this can be disastrous; anyone who wants to apply to graduate school needs a recommendation letter from a professor in their application.
In order to help our peers meet their professors, the psych club hosted a "Speed Dating" event. Professors were able to engage with their students in a more intimate setting and students were able to ask professors professional and personal questions. This event allowed student to learn paths that they may want to pursue in their careers and in life.
